Who am I, really?

I am Bernike.

I am mother, daughter, sister and friend. I am laughter, music, dance and beauty. I am human, both flawed and complete.

I am the culmination of good and bad choices. I’ve been hurt and I’ve hurt. I’ve been depressed and I’ve been ecstatic. I’ve been addicted and I’ve been sober. I’ve been angel and I’ve been witch. I am not for everyone. And I’ve accepted myself for being it all.

I am spiritual, without being fanatical. I practise yoga and I eat cake! I meditate and sometimes use the word f*ck. I chant mantra and dance to trance. I am compassion. I am rage. I am student. I am teacher. I am everything. I am nothing.

I am ever evolving.

I am that I am.

I hold safe space for people to explore their inner worlds within expanded states of consciousness, for those who feel drawn to listen more closely to their inner worlds, to explore matters of the heart, and to gently rediscover who they are.

What has prepared me to hold this space?

If I’ve learnt anything from the plant medicines, it’s that one can never be ‘fully prepared’ for the psychedelic space. Perhaps preparedness is less about having all the answers and more about remaining open to receiving new information, without holding too tightly to our ideas about ourselves or the world around us.

That said, my own preparation comes from extensive inner work across various modalities, continued learning, the wisdom gained from sitting with others, and my years of formally facilitating and working with psilocybin in ceremonial spaces. My journey has been shaped by many of life’s initiations, with lived psychedelic experience spanning more 35 years.

For years, I sought wholeness through self-help and traditional therapies, yet something within me continued to long for a deeper connection. It was within sacred ceremony that I began to experience profound healing and insight, and perhaps most importantly, a space to simply become. A return to the essence of my own being.

In many ways, the work I do now is simply my way of paying that forward.

What do I believe my role is?

My role is to create a safe container for individuals to explore their inner worlds within expanded states of consciousness.

Wellbeing & Readiness: My role is to ensure we have carefully considered your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing and readiness before embarking on a journey together.

Informed Consent: I am here to ensure that you are as informed as possible about what you are embarking on, with a clear understanding of the psychedelic experience, different dose ranges, the ceremony format, and what you can expect from me.

Boundaries: My role is to establish and maintain clear boundaries throughout the process, with mutual respect for personal space, beliefs, privacy, choices and consent, while honouring the sacredness of the space we share.

Preparation: I have created a sacred preparation protocol. I invite and provide you with tools for a daily practice of finding your still point, an inner sanctuary and quiet place within yourself that you can return to during ceremony, or in everyday life, if turbulence arrives.

We explore intention, surrender and grounding, ego dissolution, curiosity and wonder, as well as the important role sound and frequency can play in the experience. We also bring attention to the physical body and how best to prepare it to hold the experience.

Ceremony Space: My dedicated ceremony space is beautifully curated and is intentionally created for participants to feel safe, comfortable and welcome, with everything you may need to settle deeply into your experience. The space is energetically prepared, protected and cleansed before and after each ceremony.

Ceremony: I create and hold the ceremonial container throughout the experience, including energy clearing and protection rituals.

The sound journey is a consciously crafted soundscape of live instruments and voice, blended with a digital sound set of healing frequencies, mantras, chants, tribal rhythms and classical compositions to support inward exploration.

The sacred medicine is sourced fresh from a reputable local grower whose intention and commitment to quality I trust. After the journey, a nourishing home-cooked meal is shared, while we gently begin integration, and this is continued with breakfast the following morning.

Throughout the experience, I remain present. I sit with you, hold the space, and offer support where and when it’s needed, always within our agreed boundaries.

Integration: For me, one of the key differences between “tripping” and allowing that experience to create meaningful change is integration. This is where the real work begins. You will receive an Integration Codex, and I will remain available for a period after the ceremony to support your integration.

Ultimately, the experience is yours, and the real work lies in how you choose to carry what you have discovered into the way you live each day.

How will you know if I’m the right person for you?

The truth of the matter is, I may not be. I’m not a right fit for everyone, in the same way that everyone is not right fit for me.

It’s important that there is a sense of resonance between us before we embark on something this significant together. This is why I offer a FREE 30-minute discovery call, giving us the opportunity to simply chat, connect and see how it feels.
